Samsung Galaxy S10 listed with 6GB RAM online and for users, but it actually has 8GB

With so many variants of the Galaxy S10, it can be tough to keep track of which version has which specs. Apparently even Samsung is having issues.

Several variants of the Galaxy S10 and S10+ are listed on Samsung's website with 6GB of RAM, even though both models start with 8GB of RAM. You can see that the 128GB and 512GB versions of the S10 are listed with 6GB of RAM even though they actually have 8GB. The Galaxy S10+ is having a similar problem, with the 128GB carrier model showing 6GB but the unlocked version showing 8GB. Meanwhile, the unlocked 1TB version of the S10+ is listed with 8GB of RAM, even though the carrier version is correctly listed with 12GB.

Making matters worse is a photo from Reddit user Curly_umbrella that shows the Galaxy S10 reporting itself with 6GB of RAM in the "Memory" tab its settings. Android Police got word from an AT&T store manager that their floor model S10s were also showing 6GB of RAM.

It's unclear exactly what's going on here with all of this incorrect info, but the only S10 model that comes with 6GB of RAM is the Galaxy S10e. The Galaxy S10 and S10+ both have 8GB of RAM, and the top-end 1TB version of the S10+ comes with 12GB of RAM. Samsung has confirmed to AP that the information on its website will be updated. It's kind of weird that some phones are saying that they've got 6GB of RAM, too, but hopefully that's something that Samsung can fix soon as well.

Apple is postponing new iOS features in favor of reliability and performance

Apple has decided to postpone new features in iOS in favor of improving the reliability and performance of the operating system, as according to a report by Axios. According to the report, Craig Federighi, Senior Vice President, Software Engineering, announced the revised plan to employees at a meeting earlier this month. This pushes features like refresh of the homescreen and in-car user interface, improvements to core apps like Mail and camera experience to 2019.
