Samsung Names First European Countries To Get The Galaxy S10 5G

One of the Galaxy S10 devices that Samsung announced during its Unpacked press conference supports 5G connectivity, the Galaxy S10 5G. Now, in order to take advantage of 5G connectivity, your carrier needs to offer 5G, of course. If you live in Europe, and are wondering which carriers will sell the handset first (and support 5G), well, Samsung has officially announced a short list of the very first carriers to get the Galaxy S10 5G.

Samsung has announced that it is partnering with major mobile network operators in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and the UK. If you're wondering which carriers will offer the device, here's the list: Deutsche Telekom, EE; Orange, Sunrise, Swisscom, TIM, Telefonica, and Vodafone.

It is also worth saying that Marc Allera, CEO of BT's Consumer Division, said that 5G will be launched across 16 UK cities this year in order to provide "the fastest and most reliable connection". The Galaxy S10 5G will become available this Sprint, though a specific date was not shared by the company. So, the Galaxy S10 5G will be available in the six European countries mentioned in the second paragraph, and in addition to that, it will also be made available in the US and Australia, so eight countries for starters.

Those of you who are wondering how much will the phone cost, well, the company is keeping that information a secret, for now, Besides, the price tag of the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G will vary from one market to the other, as it does for every other Galaxy S10 5G smartphone, of course. On top of that, various plans will be available from all the carriers we've mentioned, probably, so there will be a ton of options to choose from.

Galaxy S10 5G Is A Bit Different Than Its Siblings

The Galaxy S10 5G will probably be the most expensive Galaxy S10 variant out there, even though the top-of-the-line Galaxy S10+ comes with considerably more RAM than the Galaxy S10 5G, but it lacks 5G connectivity and that extra camera on the back which the Galaxy S10 5G sports.

The Galaxy S10 5G is made out of metal and glass, while it sports four cameras on the back, compared to three units in the Galaxy S10 and S10+. The Galaxy S10 5G is also the largest Galaxy S10-branded unit Samsung announced, as it comes with a 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display, which is curved. The Galaxy S10e, S10, and S10+, in comparison, feature 5.8-inch (flat), 6.1-inch (curved), and 6.4-inch (curved) displays. Both the Galaxy S10 and S10+ have QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED panels, while the Galaxy S10e comes with a fullHD+ Dynamic AMOLED panel.

All Galaxy S10-branded smartphones are fueled by the same processor, the Exynos 9820 in Europe and India, while the Snapdragon 855 fuels them in China and the US. Android 9 Pie comes pre-installed on all Galaxy S10 units, and the company's brand new One UI Android overlay comes pre-installed as part of Android 9 Pie on all devices, as expected. Apple has decided to postpone new features in iOS in favor of improving the reliability and performance of the operating system, as according to a report by Axios. According to the report, Craig Federighi, Senior Vice President, Software Engineering, announced the revised plan to employees at a meeting earlier this month.
