Galaxy Note 10 Pro will have a 4500mAh battery

The standard 4G model of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Pro will feature an adequately-sized 4500mAh battery, which is a 500mAh hike on that of the Galaxy Note 9 and on par with that of the Galaxy S10 5G, according to esteemed tipster Ice Universe — corroborating a recent leak.

The cell was certified for use by the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology on Saturday, with the accompanying documentation revealing that the component was assigned the model number EB-BN975ABU, which matches up to the 4G variant (SM-N975) of the Galaxy Note 10 Pro.

What is the Galaxy Note 10 Pro?

Samsung is said to be working on four variants of the Galaxy Note 10 — two with 4G and two with 5G. That makes sense seeing as the firm is rumored to launch the handset with the choice of two screen sizes: 6.28-inches and 6.75-inches, with the latter being branded the Galaxy Note 10 Pro.

As for what the duo will bring to the table, the main tidbit we've heard to date comes courtesy of  Korea's ETNews, which has reason to believe that neither the Galaxy Note 10 or Galaxy Note 10 Pro have a single physical button on board — though we've seen no evidence supporting that claim.

Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 Pro in August.

Samsung Display remains the leader in global display market

The latest data from IHS Markit shows that Samsung Display has retained its dominant position as the top global smartphone display vendor in the first quarter of this year. It was able to do that as more smartphone manufacturers opted for OLED panels for their premium devices. Samsung picked up the bulk of those orders. Samsung's display affiliate is estimated to have shipped $3.4 billion worth of smartphone displays in the first quarter ending March 2019. It accounted for 40.2 percent of the smartphone display market in this period. Samsung Display also accounted for 80 percent of OLED panel supplies. ARCore apps are now available for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S in China

Google's ARCore apps can now run on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S in China. The apps are available in the Xiaomi App Store through a partnership with Google. A tweet from the Google AR & VR Twitter account announced the news today, although the exact ARCore apps that are now compatible with the Mi Mix 2S were not named. Google did say in the tweet that more partners for ARCore are coming soon. The Mi Mix 2S is the first phone from the manufacturer to support ARCore. Some OnePlus 6Ts have an issue with waves of static on the display

Based on a handful of reports on the OnePlus product forums, some 6T owners have run into a problem with their phone's display in which a pixelated sort of "wave" or pulse of bright colors travels up or down the screen. A reliable trigger can't seem to be found, but for those that are affected, it appears to happen more often on the lock screen while using either OnePlus' face recognition or the in-display fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone.
