Galaxy A8 (2016) makes a pitstop at the FCC

Earlier today, an unannounced smartphone with Galaxy branding made a pitstop at the United States of America’s official certification authority, the FCC. Unfortunately, the supporting documentation doesn’t reveal anything about the device other than that it carries the model number SM-A810. This leads us to believe that we’re looking at the revamped model of the Galaxy A8, which received Bluetooth certification a little over three weeks ago.

If a recent benchmark test is any indication, it looks like the Galaxy A8 (2016) will sport a 5.7-inch Full HD Display, a 2.1GHz Exynos 7420 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable internal storage, a 16MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP selfie shooter and a 3,050mAh non-removable battery. It’s also expected to ship running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, but is believed to be eligible for the Android 7.0 Nougat update.
