Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 flip phone’s promotional images leaked

We first reported a couple of months ago that Samsung was testing a new Galaxy Folder flip phone with a 3.8-inch display. It was later spotted at the FCC with a 2,000mAhbattery. The handset has since received its Bluetooth and TENAA certification which not only revealed some specifications but also indicated that a launch is just around the corner. Now, promotional images for Samsung’s Galaxy Folder 2 flip phone have now leaked out of China.

The images show that the Galaxy Folder 2 is an ultra-slim flip phone that does look quite similar to its predecessor. We had previously seen images of this handset in gold color in the TENAA files and the promotional images confirm that it will indeed be offered in a gold hue. The Galaxy Folder 2′s reported specifications include a 3.8-inch touchscreen display, a 1.4GHz Qualcomm processor with 2GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

An 8-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front camera, 2,000mAh battery, microSD support and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow are also said to be on board. The handset should cost around $250 when it’s released and it’s unlikely to be sold outside of China.

Gear S3 frontier update patches major S Voice bug

Samsung released a much-requested update for the Gear S3 frontier on Wednesday. The upgrade has been designed to patch a major bug that resulted in S Voice crashing whenever it was toggled — and from what we can tell, it’s working. The glitch itself has been running riot since May, which is around the same time the device received a routine maintenance update , leading us to believe a faulty line of code was the reason S Voice was unable to run without breaking down. Some noticed that the performance of S Voice suffered when asking it to retrieve information from the internet, like a weather forecast, but it never crashed. Samsung Display remains the leader in global display market

The latest data from IHS Markit shows that Samsung Display has retained its dominant position as the top global smartphone display vendor in the first quarter of this year. It was able to do that as more smartphone manufacturers opted for OLED panels for their premium devices. Samsung picked up the bulk of those orders. Samsung's display affiliate is estimated to have shipped $3.4 billion worth of smartphone displays in the first quarter ending March 2019. It accounted for 40.2 percent of the smartphone display market in this period. Samsung Display also accounted for 80 percent of OLED panel supplies. Samsung Display retains its leadership It's pertinent to mention here that Samsung's Q1 market share is 6.6 percentage points lower than it was in the same period last year. T-Mobile starts rolling out Android 10 update to Galaxy Tab S6

Samsung started the rollout of Android 10 to its current-generation flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S6 , three months ago. One month later, Verizon released the Android 10 update to the Galaxy Tab S6 on its network. Now, T-Mobile has released the Android 10 software update to the tablet on its network in the US . The new software update with firmware version  T867USQU2BTE1 brings Android 10 to the LTE variant of the Galaxy Tab S6 (SM-T867U). It also features One UI 2.1 and the May 2020 Android security patch . The file size of the update is over 2.1GB, so we would advise you to use a Wi-Fi connection to download the new software. Although T-Mobile's changelog doesn't mention new features, the Android 10 update brings smoother animations and transitions, Google's gesture-based UI navigation, improved Dark Mode, tweaked color scheme and icons, and more.
