The Galaxy Note 8 has several features that will make your life easier and S Pen Translate is one of them. As the name suggests, the feature enables you to perform text translations quickly using the handset’s stylus. This feature was also present on the short-lived Galaxy Note 7 and it’s nice to see that it has stuck around for the Galaxy Note 8 as well.

Galaxy Note 8 Tip: S Pen Translate

Step 1: The S Pen Translate feature can be accessed by opening Air Command.

Step 2: Tap on Translate.

Step 3: Select the Source language and the Target language.

Step 4: Hover the S Pen over the text that you want to translate.

That’s just how simple this is. It’s also possible to translate an entire sentence. Just tap on the teal button in the translation box and highlight the sentence. The translation feature is powered by Google and it works for webpages and documents.

Bonus Tip

Seamless currency conversion is also built into this feature. Highlight any currency on the screen and it will be converted into your primary currency automatically. The primary currency is determined by the language and country selection.

So if it’s English and the US respectively, your primary currency will be USD. This feature is powered by Oanda. Do keep in mind that it takes a few seconds for the conversion to show up.

Samsung Display remains the leader in global display market

The latest data from IHS Markit shows that Samsung Display has retained its dominant position as the top global smartphone display vendor in the first quarter of this year. It was able to do that as more smartphone manufacturers opted for OLED panels for their premium devices. Samsung picked up the bulk of those orders. Samsung's display affiliate is estimated to have shipped $3.4 billion worth of smartphone displays in the first quarter ending March 2019. It accounted for 40.2 percent of the smartphone display market in this period. Samsung Display also accounted for 80 percent of OLED panel supplies. Samsung Display retains its leadership It's pertinent to mention here that Samsung's Q1 market share is 6.6 percentage points lower than it was in the same period last year. ARCore apps are now available for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S in China

Google's ARCore apps can now run on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S in China. The apps are available in the Xiaomi App Store through a partnership with Google. A tweet from the Google AR & VR Twitter account announced the news today, although the exact ARCore apps that are now compatible with the Mi Mix 2S were not named. Google did say in the tweet that more partners for ARCore are coming soon. The Mi Mix 2S is the first phone from the manufacturer to support ARCore. Some OnePlus 6Ts have an issue with waves of static on the display

Based on a handful of reports on the OnePlus product forums, some 6T owners have run into a problem with their phone's display in which a pixelated sort of "wave" or pulse of bright colors travels up or down the screen. A reliable trigger can't seem to be found, but for those that are affected, it appears to happen more often on the lock screen while using either OnePlus' face recognition or the in-display fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone. The issue — which our Cody Toombs aptly described as "like something changed in the Matrix" — is demonstrated in the video below: VIDEO Based on reports, a factory reset can't fix the problem, and it doesn't appear to be tied to any specific SKU.
