Deal: Samsung Gear Sport For $229 – 4/30/18

Image
Amazon currently has the Samsung Gear Sport on sale for just $229. That's about $70 off of its regular price of $299, and also marks the first discount since the holiday season last November/December. This makes it a great time to pick up the Samsung Gear Sport if you've been looking to pick up a new fitness tracker/smartwatch. The Samsung Gear Sport was announced last fall by Samsung, as a slight upgrade to the Gear S3, but more focused on activity tracking. It is a smartwatch, powered by Tizen, but it also has a slew of activity tracking features as well. The Gear Sport is able to track your steps as per usual, but it can also track your workouts, calories burned and your sleep. So you can see how well you're sleeping or not sleeping. The Gear Sport can track all sorts of exercises, including swimming. Which is not a common thing among fitness trackers right now, but it is quickly becoming a popular feature. So those that like to go swimming can also track their swimmi...

Samsung officially launches 128GB and 256GB Galaxy S9 and S9+ in the US

Image
Today Samsung has decided to bring the 128GB and 256GB Galaxy S9 and S9+ to the USA. Both iterations will become available to pre-order tomorrow, on May 1. They will be released on May 18, exclusively at Samsung.com . We assume the company has surveyed the market and figured out there wouldn't be a lot of demand for these storage versions. Otherwise, selling them exclusively through its online store wouldn't make a lot of sense. Of course, you can still use microSD cards (up to 400GB) even with these models, for a possible maximum grand total of 656GB on your phone if you splurge and go for the one with 256GB built-in. That's definitely a lot of space. The 128GB S9 is priced at $769.99, while for 256GB you'll pay $819.99. The Galaxy S9+ costs $889.99 with 128GB, and $939.99 with 256GB. Both phones and storage options will come in Lilac Purple, Coral Blue, and Midnight Black. Source #Google #Android #Smartphones #OS #News @ndrdnws #ndrdnws #Androi...

Samsung's Galaxy S9 sales hit record-lows in South Korea, iPhone X too

Image
A new report claims the latest flagships from Samsung and Apple are seeing record-low sales in South Korea. It has previously been reported a number of times that Apple has been forced to cut iPhone X orders due to lower-than-expected demand, and this appears to have spread to South Korea. Unfortunately for Samsung, however, its brand also appears to be tackling weak demand. According to the data obtained by ET News, Apple managed to shift just 475,000 units of the iPhone X via the major South Korean carriers over the course of its first four months, with a peak of 163,000 devices in December ... #Google #Android #Smartphones #OS #News @ndrdnws #ndrdnws #AndroidNews

Samsung lists the Galaxy A6 and A6+ on its official website with full specs in tow

Image
Samsung is about to officially introduce the Galaxy A6 and A6+, two mid-range Android smartphones that are likely to make their debut in Asia. There's no doubt that they will be available worldwide at some point, but chances are Samsung won't bring them to the US. Even though they haven't been unveiled yet, Samsung has already listed the Galaxy A6 and A6+ on its official website, so we know most of their specs. The only things that are left to determine are when they will be available for purchase and how much they will cost. Still, there's no doubt that ... #Google #Android #Smartphones #OS #News @ndrdnws #ndrdnws #AndroidNews

Samsung reveals Galaxy A6 and A6+ images and specs on its Indonesian site

Image
Samsung's Galaxy A6 and A6+ haven't been launched yet, but Samsung Indonesia has just pushed out a ton of details for the two phones ahead of a proper announcement. The new Galaxy A6 and A6+ feature 18.5:9 AMOLED "Infinity" displays, fingerprint sensors, unnamed 8-core SoCs, and front-facing camera flash. The bigger A6+ even has a dual-camera setup for parallax-based bokeh, and both cameras sport 16MP f/1.7 primary shooters. Prices and dates for availability are still unknown, though. The full spec table for each phone, as listed on Samsung Indonesia's site, is just below: Galaxy A6+ Galaxy A6 The phones are a bit different, even outside the apparent screen size disparity. The larger A6+ steps things up in pretty much every regard, with a higher-resolution and higher PPI screen, more RAM, a bigger battery, faster clock speed, and dual-camera configuration. The smaller and lower-spec'ed A6 will almost certainly cost a less to make up for it,...

HTC U12+ Shown Off From All Sorts of Angles

Image
Last we heard, the U12+ from HTC is expected in May . Because we're approaching that timeframe, it's only natural that we start seeing this phone pop up in imagery. Thanks to a Facebook fan page for HTC, we're getting just that, with basically all angles of the phone shown off in a photoshoot. No words accompanied the photos, so we'll have to give ourselves the tour. From what we can see, the phone features 4 cameras (2 on the front, 2 on the back), a rear-facing fingerprint reader, USB-C on the bottom, volume buttons and a power button on the right side of the body, and what appears to be one of the thickest profiles for a phone we've seen in some time. We aren't sure if there is a bit of odd lighting and reflections going on, considering the phone looks very bubbly, but look at the below photo. Is this phone not super thick? With that thickness, we assume a large battery is inside the phone, but we don't have any specifics yet. Check out all of t...

Where to buy a used VR headset

Image
VR is expensive. Buying used might be the solution. Google Daydream , Samsung Gear VR , and the PlayStation VR are taking the world by storm when it comes to amazing VR experiences. The only problem for some people is the price of getting started. For instance, the PlayStation VR is about $349 on Amazon for a bundle with Skyrim. But what if we don't have that kind of money? No worries, we're here to walk you through all your buying used options! What to consider before buying a used VR headset Do you have everything that's required? You'll need to make sure you have a dedicated VR space, which is extremely important. Your entire gaming experience can be ruined if you find yourself trying to play in the smallest space possible because you keep running into walls or furniture! For the PlayStation VR you'll obviously need to have a PlayStation 4 to run the device. A PlayStation Pro is recommended for the best PSVR experience, but you can still ...
