Gear S3 frontier update patches major S Voice bug

-
Samsung released a much-requested update for the Gear S3 frontier on Wednesday. The upgrade has been designed to patch a major bug that resulted in S Voice crashing whenever it was toggled — and from what we can tell, it’s working. The glitch itself has been running riot since May, which is around the same time the device received a routine maintenance update , leading us to believe a faulty line of code was the reason S Voice was unable to run without breaking down. Related: Gear S3 Frontier update is small, brings Jansky wearable Not all customers were affected by the glitch in the same way, though. Some noticed that the performance of S Voice suffered when asking it to retrieve information from the internet, like a weather forecast, but it never crashed. It’s all a little strange, but it’s nice to see Samsung release an update to fix the issue. We’re just hoping we don’t have to wait too much longer for it to arrive on all compatible units, seeing as it isn’t showing up in th...

Windguru Lite Windguru Weather VERSION/BUILD: 2.0.7 UPDATED: 9 January 2018 REQUIRES ANDROID: 4.4 and up FILE SIZE: 5.0 M The official "Lite" app to access wind and weather forecasts from windguru.cz. Warning! If you do not know anything about Windguru and you are looking for classic weather app with animated weather pictograms, this is NOT FOR YOU! :-) This app works similiar to the full website at www.windguru.cz but only offers the most important features: forecasts, live stations, maps. Development of this Lite app will go on, now it's just a subset of the web version but soon it should bring some "old good" features of the old app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cz.windguru.wgappold) and become an alternative for those who wish something between the full site and the old-school app The app now supports adding favourites for quick access even for anonymous users. Apple is postponing new iOS features in favor of reliability and performance

-
Image
Apple has decided to postpone new features in iOS in favor of improving the reliability and performance of the operating system, as according to a report by Axios. According to the report, Craig Federighi, Senior Vice President, Software Engineering, announced the revised plan to employees at a meeting earlier this month. This pushes features like refresh of the homescreen and in-car user interface, improvements to core apps like Mail and camera experience to 2019. What we will get this year is improvements to AR, digital health and parental controls. Apart from that, the OS will largely feature improvements to performance and user experience. We have seen Apple do this with macOS in the past, where they dedicate one entire update cycle to just refining the OS and make existing features work better. However, we have never quite seen Apple do that on iOS. This is largely due to the hyper competitive nature of the mobile market where competition and customer demands push companies t...

T-Mobile starts rolling out Android 10 update to Galaxy Tab S6

-
Image
Samsung started the rollout of Android 10 to its current-generation flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S6 , three months ago. One month later, Verizon released the Android 10 update to the Galaxy Tab S6 on its network. Now, T-Mobile has released the Android 10 software update to the tablet on its network in the US . The new software update with firmware version  T867USQU2BTE1 brings Android 10 to the LTE variant of the Galaxy Tab S6 (SM-T867U). It also features One UI 2.1 and the May 2020 Android security patch . The file size of the update is over 2.1GB, so we would advise you to use a Wi-Fi connection to download the new software. Although T-Mobile's changelog doesn't mention new features, the Android 10 update brings smoother animations and transitions, Google's gesture-based UI navigation, improved Dark Mode, tweaked color scheme and icons, and more. Then there's an improved camera app and a refreshed design inside the Device Care section. Thanks to One UI 2....
