Motorola officially unveil the Moto G6 (Play and Plus as well) and Moto E5 (E5 Play and Plus too)

Motorola had a big event in Sao Paulo Brazil overnight, announcing their new mid-range devices. The announcement included both Moto E5 and G6 series phones, with Plus and Play variants announced as well.

Moto E5 Series

The Moto E5 series are their affordable mid-range devices for 2018. Motorola has expanded their line up to include both Play and Plus models of the Moto E series, and all have their pros and cons. The Moto E5 offers a large 5.7" Max Vision 18:9 aspect ratio screen with a rear fingerprint sensor built into the rear of the phone, while the Moto E5 Play offers a smaller, more compact body with a 5.2″ display that also has a crisp 8MP camera built-in. The Moto E5 Plus offers the largest display though, with a 6.0″ HD+ resolution 18:9 aspect ratio display with a massive 5000 mAh battery.

Moto G6 Series

The Moto G6 Series phones are again coming in three variants. They're super mid-range and include options for higher end specs such as dual rear cameras that discerning consumers are after.

The Moto G6 offers stunning design with a 5.7″ display in a beautiful body that's offered in four beautiful colour options that show off an attention-grabbing 3D glass rear. The Moto G6 Play ups the ante on battery life with the same sized display, but a larger 4000 mAh battery, which Motorola says can last up to 36 hours – strangely Motorola has decided to use a MicroUSB connector in the G6 Play, but you can't have everything. Finally, the Moto G6 Plus includes a 5.9″, 18:9 aspect ratio display with dual 12MP+5MP camera setup on the rear with an f/1.7 aperture and 1.4um pixel size for some potentially stunning photography.
