Keepsafe Unlisted Brings Its Simple UI And Tight Security To Android

Digital security outfit Keepsafe has brought its Unlisted app and associated service to Android, giving subscribers one of the simplest and most secure burner number solutions out there. You can subscribe for a single number at $2.99 per month, or prepay for a month at $3.99 to facilitate shorter-term usage. The big difference, aside from a cheaper rate for those who want to subscribe for longer, is that short-term numbers are unassigned and recycled after the prepaid month is over. The longer subscription auto-renews, and charges your Google Play balance or associated account each month. You'll search for a number by area code, general area and matching characters or numbers, then pick one that's currently not in use, pay for whichever package you choose, and you're up and running.

The basic subscription gets you a number, along with 20 minutes that can be used across 10 call credits, along with 10 messages. You can also change the number once per month, or just once for prepaid numbers. More airtime and messages can be purchased a la carte, and never expire, and are shared between all of your numbers. You can get 200 texts for $3.99 or 400 for $7.99, and you can get 200 call minutes for $4.99 and 400 minutes for $9.99. The app can be used over Wi-Fi when there's no cellular connection around, making it all the more versatile. You can also take advantage of a number of call forwarding options, such as sending them to another number, sending them to voicemail, or greeting callers with a busy signal. Each number can also have its own voicemail greeting, making the app great for small business owners who may not want to give out their personal number for business. Finally, that number can be used on any device of any type that your account logs into.

Keepsafe's entire suite of mobile apps is about simplicity and security, and Unlisted is more of the same. With this app, you'll no longer have to give out your easy-to-track personal phone number and open yourself up to intrusions on your time, stalking, and other potential headaches that come with that territory. This is an excellent tool in a number of use cases that involve contacting strangers, including dating, business and more.
