Samsung Pay has been used for more than 240 million transactions till date

Samsung Pay was a success pretty much when Samsung announced it, given it’s the only payment service that works on both NFC and MST, making it compatible with pretty much any payment terminal that accepts debit and credit cards. Samsung Pay has gone live in quite a few markets since it was first unveiled, and Samsung has revealed at the Galaxy S8 event that Samsung Pay has been used for more than 240 million transactions so far.

That’s a huge number, one that is bound to make Apple and Google jealous, as their payment services only work over NFC. Samsung Pay works great, and it’s good to see consumers around the world have adopted the service so quickly. Are you one of those use their Samsung device for making payments?

Google Play Points reward program is official, but only in Japan for now

... Earlier this month, Cody discovered evidence for a loyalty program  in a teardown of the Google Play app, and now we're seeing the first official word about it. The rewards scheme is called Play Points and has gone live in Japan, according to a support page for the app. Users can join the program by navigating to the 'Play Points' section in the app's hamburger menu. To begin with, one point will be awarded for every ¥100 (about $0.90) spent on apps and games — to be used on IAPs or converted to Google Play credit — but as you progress, higher levels can be achieved with even greater rewards. Samsung releases Galaxy A31 in Malaysia along with deals and freebies

Samsung fans in Malaysia can now buy the company's latest mid-range phone, the Galaxy A31 . It's available in Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush Blue, and Prism Crush White. The phone's official announcement for Malaysia mentions a recommended retail price of RM 1,099 ($257) but the company's online shop tells a different story. As of this writing, Samsung Malaysia is selling the Galaxy A31 for RM 50 less, or RM 1,049 ($245). In addition, Samsung Malaysia is offering free gifts to customers who buy the Galaxy A31 before June 30. Aside from getting an RM 50 discount, buyers will also receive free Protection Plus worth RM 119 ($28).
