Galaxy J7 (2017) to launch in the US as the Galaxy Halo

The Galaxy J7 (2017) will launch on Cricket Wireless in the United States as the Galaxy Halo, according to reliable tipster Evan Blass. There’s no word on whether the handset will sport any changes on the inside, but it looks like there are a number of cosmetic differences, including a redesigned camera configuration.

If the Galaxy Halo turns out to sport the same internals as the Galaxy J7 (2017), we’ll be looking at a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a 1.6GHz Exynos 7870 Octa CPU, a Mali-T830MP2 GPU 3GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable internal storage, a 13MP rear and front-facing camera, and a 3,600mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery.

It’s safe to assume that the Galaxy Halo will be available in four colors — black, blue, gold and pink — and will carry a price tag of approximately $380 when it hits the shelves later this year. Unfortunately, there’s no telling exactly when that will be, but we’re guessing some time before the end of July.
