Samsung Pay now supports Discover cards

A year later than expected, Samsung has armed its mobile payment platform — Samsung Pay — with support for Discover cards. This news comes shortly after the firm added compatibility for plastic issued by three more banks in the United Kingdom: First Direct, HSBC and M&S Bank.

What separates Samsung Pay from the competition is its ability to process both MST and NFC transactions, which means you can use the service to pay for goods in brick-and-mortar stores even if they aren’t equipped with the right hardware to accept contactless payments.
