Galaxy Note 8’s S Pen (allegedly) appears in hands-on images

We may have caught our first glimpse at the S Pen that’ll come bundled with the upcoming Galaxy Note 8. A couple of images surfaced on leak aggregator SlashLeaks on Thursday allegedly showcasing the stylus — and it looks an awful lot like the one found on board the Galaxy Note 7.

Unfortunately, the pictures are blurry, corroborating our theory that all leakers lack basic photography skills, so we can’t pinpoint any differences between this S Pen and the one included with the Galaxy Note 7; it’s possible the stylus in the photographs could even belong to the Galaxy Note 5.

For now, we’re going to reserve judgement and leave it up to you to decide whether we’re looking at Galaxy Note 8‘s stylus. Bear in mind that Samsung’s said to have made significant improvements to the S Pen for this year’s model. But does that warrant a fresh design? Only time will tell.

Samsung to build a P3 ‘total semiconductor factory’ in Pyeongtaek by 2021

It hasn't been long since Samsung completed the construction of its P2 semiconductor plant in Pyeongtaek, but now, the company is preparing to build its 3rd 'P3' semiconductor factory in the same city in the Gyeonggi Province. According to reports from the local media , Samsung wants to start constructing the P3 plant in September and make it fully operational by the end of 2021. The P3 plant will reportedly be 300 meters longer than the existing P2 plant, topping a total of 700 meters in length. Constructing the building itself should take roughly a year, and a few additional months will be needed to install the necessary equipment and ready it for mass production. Sony Announces Smaller Digital Paper E-Ink Writing Tablet

Sony has now announced a smaller follow-up to last year's Digital Paper E-ink writing tablet, the DPT-RP1. That's according to a new announcement made today via Sony's official blog. The new tablet – also dubbed with Digital Paper branding but sold under the model number DPT-CP1 – seems to be the same basic design as the previous model. However, while that earlier device was sized as close as possible to A4 paper with a 13.3-inch display, the new model drops to A5 with a 10.3-inch display. That should make its use much easier under a wider number of circumstances since it will arguably be easier to hold in one hand while writing with the other.  However, there will certainly be other benefits as well.
