Huawei’s Mate 20 Series to launch on October 16 in London

Huawei's Mate 20 Series to launch on October 16 in London

We are at Huawei's keynote address at IFA 2018 where CEO Richard Yu has officially launched the company's newest flagship processor, the HiSilicon Kirin 980. As an aside, he has also confirmed that the Mate 20 Series will launch next month.

More specifically, the Mate 20 Series will launch on October 16 at an event in London, UK. The follow-up to last year's Mate 10 Pro will be the first handset to make use of the new Kirin 980 processor that boasts a Small/Middle/Big configuration. Besides the new chip, we expect the Mate 20 to feature wireless charging, a big 6.99-inch display, increased battery capacity, and a triple rear camera like we saw on the P20 Pro.

We can see from the Mate 20 Lite that also launched today that the Mate 20 Series will once again sport an all-glass design. What are you hoping to see with the Mate 20? Let us know in the comments below.
