Motorola One and One Power now official
The last time we saw the Motorola One was back in June, and now the smartphone manufacturer has made the handset official.
Motorola is actually unveiling a pair of handsets this week, the first being the Motorola One. As the name suggests, this is Motorola's Android One effort, offering up a mid-range handset for folks that might be in the market to pick one up. The Motorola One features a 5.9-inch 720p HD LCD display with as aspect ratio of 19:9. There's a notch at the top of the display and a chin on the bottom that hosts the Motorola logo.
Inside, the Motorola One features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of built-in storage. It also features a microSD card slot for expandable storage. There are a pair of cameras on the back, the primary being a 13MP shooter and the secondary camera is a 5MP sensor. Around front, there's an 8MP camera.
The 3000mAh battery supports Motorola's TurboPower charging feature, which the company says can net you six hours of power in the handset with just 20 minutes of charging. The Motorola One is running Android 8.1 Oreo (Motorola says an Android 9 Pie update will come soon after launch), has a fingerprint reader on the back, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Motorola One will be available across Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. It will retail for €399.
The Motorola One Power's display is a 1080p HD 6.2-inch LCD panel, and the phone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor under the hood. It boasts 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage with a microSD card slot. It has a pretty massive 5000mAh battery inside with Motorola's TurboPower support that gives you six hours of power in 15 minutes of charging.
The primary rear camera is a 16MP sensor while the secondary shooter is a 5MP sensor. There's also a 12MP front-facing camera. A fingerprint reader lives on the back and there's a 3.5mm headphone jack up top. It's running Android 8.1 (Android One) out of the box but will get an Android 9 Pie update soon after launch.
This bigger handset will launch in India sometime in October. Motorola didn't announce a price point.
