UBTech launch a new generation of programmable JIMU Truckbots kit supporting STEM learning

UBTech has announced the arrival of a new generation of JIMU TruckBots kit in Australia with the kit enabling kids to build two bots: the GravelBot and DozerBot.

The Truckbot series is a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) focused robot that's interactive and fully programmable using the Blockly programming language – a simple, drag and drop style programming language. The programming is done in the Jimu Robot app available for Android and iOS devices.

Kids from as young as 8 can learn to program thanks to the animated instructions included in the app, guiding them step-by-step through the building process.

The kit has all the parts required including programmable LED lights, motorised wheels and a new smart and powerful Ultrasonic sensor which allow the robots to detect, pick up, move, avoid objects in its path over 400cm away. The kit includes a bucket
arm to scoop up objects, and also an open-box back which allows users to dump gravel or objects out.

Emily Huang, Overseas Marketing Manager, UBTECH said

We are thrilled to launch the new JIMU TruckBots Kit by UBTECH. The JIMU TruckBots Kit allows us to be one step closer to achieving our mission of teaching children the fun of robotics and the role it creates in building a future generation armed with solid coding and STEM skills.

The JIMU TruckBots Kit by UBTECH are priced at RRP$179.00 AUD and are available from Officeworks and Harvey Norman.
