Poll: Which October Launch are You Most Excited For?

Apple did its song and dance last week and will pretty much own the month of September. October, though, that's another story. Next month is shaping up to be a hell of a month for Android fans.

On October 3, LG will announce the V40. Then the following week, Google will unveil the Pixel and Pixel 3 XL on October 9, Razer will show off the Razer Phone 2 on October 10, and Samsung has a new Galaxy product for us on October 11. The week after that we'll get new products from Huawei (October 16) and quite possibly, the OnePlus 6T on October 17. And if you care, Microsoft is throwing a Surface event on October 2 too.

Sooooooooooo, which launch are you the most excited for?

Apple is postponing new iOS features in favor of reliability and performance

Apple has decided to postpone new features in iOS in favor of improving the reliability and performance of the operating system, as according to a report by Axios. According to the report, Craig Federighi, Senior Vice President, Software Engineering, announced the revised plan to employees at a meeting earlier this month. This pushes features like refresh of the homescreen and in-car user interface, improvements to core apps like Mail and camera experience to 2019. What we will get this year is improvements to AR, digital health and parental controls. Apart from that, the OS will largely feature improvements to performance and user experience. We have seen Apple do this with macOS in the past, where they dedicate one entire update cycle to just refining the OS and make existing features work better.
