New Black Diamond true wireless earbuds offer custom molding on the cheap
Earlier this week, Colorado Kickstarter darling Decibullz unveiled its latest passion product: the Black Diamond True Wireless earbuds. Bringing the company's trademark custom-molding thermoplastic and waterproofing to the true wireless sphere, the Black Diamond seek to solve one of the most annoying issues with true wireless earphones: fit.
Where most true wireless earphones will either sit in the ear or be held lightly in place by putting pressure on the outer ear, all Decibullz earphones have a moldable, thermoplastic fin. The advantages of this design feature are twofold: not only will the earbuds isolate far better than most true wireless earbuds, but they'll also fit in far more situations. If you find that your Beats are constantly dropping out of your ears, you might find a capable companion in the Black Diamond.

Setup is a bit involved, but very rewarding. The Black Diamond's thermoplastic ear fins become pliable with heat, so you can dunk it in piping hot water for 3 minutes, then attach it back onto your earphones. Once the fin is no longer hot to the touch, press in the earphones and hold them to your ear the way you want them to fit. The fin will then mold to your ear and harden as it cools, ensuring a perfect seal every subsequent time you wear them.
As far as specifications go, users will get a lot if everything pans out as expected. Kyle Kirkpatrick, CEO of Decibullz, stated that users should expect around six hours of battery life, IPX7 certification, Bluetooth 5.0 connection, touch controls, and a quick charging battery case.
