Mate 20 Pro beats Huawei’s pre-order sales record in Western Europe by 40%
Huawei launched its new flagship, the Mate 20 Pro, at an event in London on October 16th, and it seems that the Mate 10 Pro's successor is breaking pre-order records in Western Europe. Huawei's Consumer Business Group (CBG) has announced that the Mate 20 Pro, with its trio of rear cameras, OLED display, and Kirin 980 processor, has beaten previous records for pre-order sales by an impressive 40%.
The 40% uptick in preorders means that the Mate 20 Pro has overtaken the impressive P20 Pro in the number of pre-orders placed during the first ten days after being launched. While Huawei hasn't revealed specific numbers, the 40% increase is a big number to consider.
Besides the fact that the Mate 20 Pro is a phone filled with high-tech features, Huawei has also upped its game concerning preorder promotions such as the one in the UK that saw the device bundled with a wireless charger as well as the company's new smartwatch, the Watch GT. This means that people who placed an order got an additional £250 worth of value, which is nothing to be sneezed at.
We are in the midst of finishing up our review of the Mate 20 Pro, but in the meantime, have you placed a pre-order for Huawei's newest blockbuster smartphone? If so, let us know about your experience.
