Three.do Is A New Reminder App That Does Things Differently

In Short: Google's Play Store is home to many reminder applications, but if you still did not find the perfect one for your needs, well, an app called 'Three.do' may do the job. This is a brand new application that arrived in the Play Store, it's still in version 1.0, and after six reviews it sports a 5-star rating. Three.do is an extremely simple application, so if you're looking for something of the sort, to get out of your way, well, read on. First and foremost, this app's UI is extremely simple, though it works considerably different to basically every other reminder app out there. Luckily, the company does offer a tutorial as soon as you open this app, you can actually choose between a regular tutorial, and a short one, just to learn the basics.

Now, once you finish the tutorial, or simply choose to skip it, you'll be presented with a number of options in form of tiles. These tiles let you choose who your reminder is in regards to, your family, home, boss, client… etc., while you can add additional options as well. Once you select one of the tiles, or create a new one, you will be asked to choose what your reminder is about. Once again, you will be presented with options such as write, call, meet, do something… and so on, and be able to add your own options. Once you do that, the third, and final screen will appear, and in it, you'll be able to select when do you need this reminder to go off, and it's presented in the same way as the other two screens we've talked about, in form of tiles.

That is how you set reminders, while you can check out your current reminders by hitting the hamburger menu on the main page, a menu which is located in the top-right corner of the display. There, you will also see some additional options for reminders, as you can swipe from right to left in order to reschedule a particular reminder, while swiping left to right will mark a specific reminder as 'done'. You can, of course, tap a reminder in order to get more details about it.

Background: This application is made by Paul Danyliuk, a developer which has four other applications in the Play Store, and all of them are sporting really solid ratings. On the developer's list of apps, you will find Kinetic, Material Cue, Nagbox, and RANDOM applications, while the latter one is still in its beta phase, it's marked as 'Unreleased'. The Three.do application has been downloaded around a hundred times thus far, as it's fairly new, and you will need to run Android 5.0 or up in order to use it. The app does not have any ads attached to it, and it's quite light at only 2.2MB.

Impact: The Three.do application is considerably different than any other reminder app that we've seen thus far. Once you get the hang of it, this app can set up reminders for you really fast, as we got used to it in less than a day. Once you add your customized options, for reminders that you set frequently, setting a new reminder is a breeze. It remains to be seen how many people will notice this app and start using it, but one thing is for sure, it's an interesting alternative to all the regular reminder apps out there, as regular reminder apps are usually a note-taking applications at the same time, and setting reminder in them is a completely different experience compared to what Three.do has to offer.
