Latest Gear S3 classic and frontier update brings new features and improvements

Samsung is rolling out a new firmware update for the Gear S3 classic and Gear S3 frontier smartwatches today. Firmware version R770XXU2BQC5 and R760XXU2BQC5 is now being rolled out for both wearable devices respectively. The latest update brings a handful of new features and improvements for these devices.

Gear S3 owners can now add new date and Music complications to select watch faces. Native apps like Samsung Health, S Voice, Alti-Barometer and News Briefing have all been updated with new features that make them more useful.

Find My Device has been updated with a new feature to display the user’s contact information should the Gear smartwatch get lost. Samsung has also added new features to the Accessibility option such as Dark screen, Greyscale, Screen Reader, and Negative colors.
