PSA: Galaxy S8′s messages app shows web link previews

The Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ feature a newer user interface with dozens of new features, and some of them are easier to overlook. One such new feature is the ability to show web link previews in the messages app.

Similar to WhatsApp, iMessage, and a few other instant messaging apps, Galaxy S8′s new messages app shows a web link preview whenever someone sends you a URL, which makes it easier for you to know what that link is about.

You can disable this feature, if you don’t want it, from the settings menu of the messages app.

Samsung is readying the Galaxy Fold for release in more markets, as prospective buyers located in India, Australia, and the UAE can now show their interest in the device by visiting Samsung's website and completing an online pre-registration form.The company will issue updates to those who pre-register for the Galaxy Fold, but as yet, there's no official word on when the foldable device will be released in two of the three aforementioned markets. In a small update to YouTube, viewers are noticing recommendations based on other channel viewers. The company is no stranger to tweaking its algorithms and suggestions. Now the service predicts that if you're subscribed to a channel, then you'll probably enjoy other videos that followers of said channel watch.
