64GB variant of the Samsung Galaxy On Nxt to be launched in India tonight

After launching the mid-range Galaxy On Nxt in India exclusively through Flipkart six months ago, Samsung is now launching the 64GB variant of the device through the same retailer. The new variant will be available in Black and Gold, and will go on sale midnight today with a price tag of INR 16,900 (around $265). Customers ordering the Galaxy On Nxt 64GB (SM-G610F) using Axis Bank’s Buzz credit card would eligible for an additional 5% discount.

This new variant of the Galaxy On Nxt features a 5.5-inch 1080p TFT display, a 13-megapixel primary camera with 1080p video recording, an 8-megapixel secondary camera, and a fingerprint sensor. It is equipped with an octa-core Exynos 7870 processor, 3GB RAM, 64GB internal storage, a microSD card slot, and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It’s an LTE compatible device with a dual-SIM card slot, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, microUSB port, and a 3,300 mAh battery.

Samsung Display remains the leader in global display market

The latest data from IHS Markit shows that Samsung Display has retained its dominant position as the top global smartphone display vendor in the first quarter of this year. It was able to do that as more smartphone manufacturers opted for OLED panels for their premium devices. Samsung picked up the bulk of those orders. Samsung's display affiliate is estimated to have shipped $3.4 billion worth of smartphone displays in the first quarter ending March 2019. It accounted for 40.2 percent of the smartphone display market in this period. Samsung Display also accounted for 80 percent of OLED panel supplies. Samsung Display retains its leadership It's pertinent to mention here that Samsung's Q1 market share is 6.6 percentage points lower than it was in the same period last year. ARCore apps are now available for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S in China

Google's ARCore apps can now run on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S in China. The apps are available in the Xiaomi App Store through a partnership with Google. A tweet from the Google AR & VR Twitter account announced the news today, although the exact ARCore apps that are now compatible with the Mi Mix 2S were not named. Google did say in the tweet that more partners for ARCore are coming soon. The Mi Mix 2S is the first phone from the manufacturer to support ARCore. Some OnePlus 6Ts have an issue with waves of static on the display

Based on a handful of reports on the OnePlus product forums, some 6T owners have run into a problem with their phone's display in which a pixelated sort of "wave" or pulse of bright colors travels up or down the screen. A reliable trigger can't seem to be found, but for those that are affected, it appears to happen more often on the lock screen while using either OnePlus' face recognition or the in-display fingerprint sensor to unlock the phone. The issue — which our Cody Toombs aptly described as "like something changed in the Matrix" — is demonstrated in the video below: VIDEO Based on reports, a factory reset can't fix the problem, and it doesn't appear to be tied to any specific SKU.
