Samsung will fix the Galaxy S8′s display issue by way of a software update

According to ZDNet, Samsung will distribute a software update for the Galaxy S8 to fix an issue that some early adopters have been experiencing, which resulted in a slight reddish tint appearing on the handset’s display.

The upgrade will reportedly regulate the color balance of the device, restoring the white tones, while also increasing the color range that users can choose should they want to manually tweak the appearance of their Galaxy S8′s screen.

Much to our dismay, a Samsung spokesman failed to provide an exact release date for the update. Although, media outlets in South Korea expect it to start making the rounds next week.

Sony Announces Smaller Digital Paper E-Ink Writing Tablet

Sony has now announced a smaller follow-up to last year's Digital Paper E-ink writing tablet, the DPT-RP1. That's according to a new announcement made today via Sony's official blog. The new tablet – also dubbed with Digital Paper branding but sold under the model number DPT-CP1 – seems to be the same basic design as the previous model. However, while that earlier device was sized as close as possible to A4 paper with a 13.3-inch display, the new model drops to A5 with a 10.3-inch display. That should make its use much easier under a wider number of circumstances since it will arguably be easier to hold in one hand while writing with the other.  However, there will certainly be other benefits as well. Samsung to build a P3 ‘total semiconductor factory’ in Pyeongtaek by 2021

It hasn't been long since Samsung completed the construction of its P2 semiconductor plant in Pyeongtaek, but now, the company is preparing to build its 3rd 'P3' semiconductor factory in the same city in the Gyeonggi Province. According to reports from the local media , Samsung wants to start constructing the P3 plant in September and make it fully operational by the end of 2021. The P3 plant will reportedly be 300 meters longer than the existing P2 plant, topping a total of 700 meters in length. Constructing the building itself should take roughly a year, and a few additional months will be needed to install the necessary equipment and ready it for mass production. The Galaxy M series has proven to be very successful for Samsung.
