Google Clock App Adds Spotify Integration for Music Alarms

Huh, better late than never I guess, but this is a bit shocking to see. Google, after all these years, added musical alarms to the Google Clock app this morning. Musical alarms, as in, you can choose a song from Spotify to wake up to.

In a Google Clock update that is rolling out globally this week, you'll be able to choose from Spotify songs in addition to regular alarm sounds. And this is for free and premium Spotify users too. Crazy, right?

The new experience will look just like the screenshot below, with one tab for "Sounds" and another for "Spotify."

This new update will be available to those running Android 5.0 "Lollipop" and above.

AT&T rolls out improved prepaid plans

AT&T today rolled out some changes to its prepaid plans , and they're all for the better. First up, AT&T has ditched its 6GB plan and replaced it with an 8GB plan. The regular price of the 8GB plan is a bit more than the 6GB plan — $50 vs $45 — but if you enroll in autopay, the 8GB plan will cost you the same $40 per month as the 6GB plan. This plan includes 8GB of high-speed data, unlimited talk and text to Mexico and Canada, and the ability to use your talk, text, and data in Mexico and Canada. Like AT&T's other prepaid plans, it also includes unlimited talk and text in the U.S. Also of note is that AT&T is making its $65 unlimited plan cheaper for those that enroll in autopay. Previously this plan would cost $60 per month with autopay, but now it'll cost $55 per month with autopay. This plan includes unlimited high-speed data but no mobile hotspot or HD video streaming.
