Acer Chromebook Tab 10 and Acer Chromebox CXI3 now available to order in Australia

It's happening! Though it's been hard to get a hold of Chrome OS devices in Australia, Acer has decided to make two of their latest Chrome OS devices, the Acer Chromebook Tab 10 and Acer Chromebox CXI3 available to order through their online store in Australia.

The Acer Chromebook Tab 10 is the first tablet running Chrome OS, and comes with a 9.7″ 2048×1536 resolution IPS LCD display, with an 'OP1' processor, a processor manufactured by Rockchip which has been optimised for Chrome OS. The tablet also has 4GB of RAM,32GB of onboard storage and comes with an Active Stylus. The Acer Chromebook Tab 10 (why isn't it just called a Chrome Tab?) is selling for AUD$569. The Chromebook Tab 10 has a 1-year warranty, though it's a mail in warranty.

The Chromebox CXI3 is available in two configurations, one with an Intel Celeron Processor 3865U and the other with an Intel Core i3-7130U Processor inside. The Celeron model comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage (SSD) while the i3 model has 8GB RAM and a 64GB SSD. The rest of the specs are fairly similar though they have different graphics cards. Warranty also includes a 1 Year Standard On-Site Warranty.

At this stage we haven't seen either the Chromebook Tab 10 or the Chromebox CXI3 at retailers, but we may see one or both soon. We'll be checking with Acer to find out if there are plans to bring them to retail retail in Australia.

OnePlus 6 Official Wallpapers Now Available: Download

OnePlus had introduced its new flagship, the OnePlus 6 , yesterday, and if you've wanted to get your hands on the wallpapers that get included on the phone, well, you're in luck. The OnePlus 6's official set of wallpapers popped up on Hampus Olsson's website, a person who designed them for OnePlus. If you check out the gallery down below, you will be able to see all of those wallpapers, though keep in mind that they are compressed, if you'd like to get them in their full size, click the download link / banner which is located below the article. Google’s December 2018 security patch includes much-needed RAM management fix

Every first Monday of the month, we're used to seeing Google launch security patches for its supported devices. This month is no different, as Google has released the December 2018 security patch. The patch not only fixes a bunch of security bugs, but also features the long awaited memory performance fixes. Android Pie has long been killing apps in the background (even if you were using them a second ago) and it's even affected devices other than Pixel /Nexus devices and we hope this fix will help. There are also some camera fixes for Pixel users included as well. Surprisingly, we're seeing the updates hit the Nexus 5X and 6P, both of which have reached their end of life. It's good to see Google support these old devices even when their three years are up and the company has no obligation to update them. December's software release is here.
