Huawei’s Upcoming Fast Charging Tech May Become The Fastest

According to a new report, Huawei is working on a brand new charging tech which could be extremely fast, amongst the fastest out there, if not the first one on that list. This info is based on a certification document in China, which says that Huawei registered charging which will use a 10V/4A setup. This means that the charger would be able to output power as high as 40W, which is almost double as to what Huawei's current SuperCharge technology can (22W). As a result, this technology could be able to charge up Huawei's smartphones in under 30 minutes, which would be faster even than OPPO's fast charging, which is currently the fastest out there.

For those of you who do not know, OPPO had introduced its Super VOOC fast charging way back, and it has finally launched it with the Lamborghini Edition of the OPPO Find X recently. Super VOOC can recharge a 3,400mAh battery that is included in the device in just 35 minutes, which makes it the fastest available charging out there. Well, it seems like Huawei's tech could surpass even that, though we're only guessing based on the available info, as Huawei did not release any info just yet. Huawei's fast charging tech got certified, yes, but who knows when and if the company will release it. Back in 2016, Honor Magic fast charging tech was revealed by Huawei's subsidiary, Honor, and that tech can recharged batteries in 45 minutes using a 5V/8A charging, though that applies for 3,000mAh units.

Huawei's new flagship, the Mate 20, will become official in October, as Huawei had already confirmed its name by trademarking the 'Mate 20' naming. Could this fast charging be included in the Huawei Mate 20, or will it take longer for Huawei to implement it? Well, it's probably the latter, it's not really realistic to expect it in the Mate 20, that device is right around the corner, and we're hearing about this tech for the first time now. On the other hand, the technology is already certified, so… who knows, we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
