Samsung’s now selling the first-generation Gear IconX for just $49.99

Samsung has kicked off an unmissable deal on the first-generation Gear IconX, which feature 4GB of internal storage for independent music playback. As part of a clearance sale to make way for the Gear IconX (2018), the firm has slashed $150 off the retail price of the wireless earbuds, so you can pick up a pair for just $49.99.

We wouldn’t recommend snagging yourself a pair if you’re looking to use them for an extensive period of time, though. During our testing, we were only able to get an hour and a half of life out of them when streaming music over a Bluetooth connection and four hours when listening to songs stored on the internal memory.

If the lacklustre battery life is something you can live with, hit the Buy Now button below to head over to Samsung’s website where you can purchase a pair. It would probably be a good idea to act fast though, as we don’t know how much inventory the firm has set aside for the promotion—and once it’s gone, it’s gone.

It hasn't been long since Samsung completed the construction of its P2 semiconductor plant in Pyeongtaek, but now, the company is preparing to build its 3rd 'P3' semiconductor factory in the same city in the Gyeonggi Province. According to reports from the local media , Samsung wants to start constructing the P3 plant in September and make it fully operational by the end of 2021. The P3 plant will reportedly be 300 meters longer than the existing P2 plant, topping a total of 700 meters in length. Constructing the building itself should take roughly a year, and a few additional months will be needed to install the necessary equipment and ready it for mass production. Sony Announces Smaller Digital Paper E-Ink Writing Tablet

Sony has now announced a smaller follow-up to last year's Digital Paper E-ink writing tablet, the DPT-RP1. That's according to a new announcement made today via Sony's official blog. The new tablet – also dubbed with Digital Paper branding but sold under the model number DPT-CP1 – seems to be the same basic design as the previous model. However, while that earlier device was sized as close as possible to A4 paper with a 13.3-inch display, the new model drops to A5 with a 10.3-inch display. That should make its use much easier under a wider number of circumstances since it will arguably be easier to hold in one hand while writing with the other.  However, there will certainly be other benefits as well.
