Deal: Get a $300 bill credit when you buy an LG G7 or V35 through Project Fi

The only thing preventing Google's Project Fi from being the absolute best wireless carrier is the fact that the service only supports certain phones. But from now until July 29, two of those phones are part of a promotion that will get you a whopping $300 bill credit to add to your existing or new line of service with Fi.

The two phones in question are the LG G7 ThinQ and the LG V35. Both phones are fairly new with cutting-edge specs and high-quality builds. And, of course, both phones work on the unique infrastructure of Project Fi.

This deal is likely part of Google trying to cash in on the excitement surrounding Amazon Prime Day. You can see our roundup of the best deals on Amazon here, and here's a list of all the best non-Amazon deals we could find.

As for this Fi deal, the LG G7 ThinQ is the better buy of the pair as it only costs $749 (or $31.21 per month). The LG V35 will set you back a whopping $899, but it might be worth it because it doesn't have a display notch.

Skipping Amazon Prime Day? Here are some great, non-Amazon deals

Everyone is getting amped-up for Amazon Prime Day, which goes for 36 hours this year starting on July 16. As with previous Prime Days, we can expect drastic discounts on all sorts of items, including …

Either way, once you buy the phone and attach it to your Project Fi line, you'll get a $300 bill credit in "45 — 60 days." You must attach the phone to a line within 30 days of purchase, or you forfeit the bill credit, so keep that in mind if you decide to pursue this deal.

You can only buy one device per line, so you can't try to double-up on bill credits by buying two phones. However, you can add another line and that will work; or, if you have a family plan, add as many phones as lines you own.

The only other caveat to this deal is that if you return the phone or cancel your line you are not able to keep the bill credit. But that's pretty self-explanatory.

One thing to keep in mind is that $300 worth of credit on Project Fi is pretty incredible, considering there are people out there who can skirt by paying only $30 per month for the service ($20 per month for the line and then $10 per month for 1GB of LTE data). If you're one of those people, this credit will get you 10 free months of service, which is nothing to sneeze at.
