Verizon Updates Prepaid Line-Up by Dropping Some Prices, Removing an Option

Verizon Prepaid has been a solid value for a couple of years now, and this morning, the carrier tweaked its line-up by dropping some prices and eliminating or combining a couple.

Instead of having 5 separate prepaid plans, Verizon now only has 4. You've got $30 (500MB), $35 (3GB), $45 (8GB), and $65 ("Unlimited") options. I should point out that the prices are actually $5 higher on the $35, $45, and $65 plans, it's just that Verizon will give you a $5 discount to those price points if you sign-up for autopay. That's an old trick that I'm surprised wasn't implemented sooner.

The older 10GB ($60) and 7GB ($50) are now gone and replaced by the 8GB ($45) plan. Or you could look at it as the 10GB plan g one and the 7GB plan given another 1GB of data and a $5 autopay discount. You decide.

New Verizon Prepaid Plans

Nothing else really changes as far as I can tell. You still get hotspot on all but the "Unlimited" plan, the top two plans have unlimited calling to Canada and Mexico, and you can mix and match them to create family plans with discounts.

This week during MWC 2018, ASUS unveiled not one but two iPhone X clones which are expected to hit the market with affordable price-tags.
